Behind the scenes -John Casablanca-Styling Class #StudentLife

So you may or may not  know that I'm currently a Student at John Casablanca in the fashion program. This week we got to do are Commercial shoots for our Styling Class. We had to use are classmates as models which was cool. Were a pretty small class and everyone is pretty chill. 

This day I was first up to model. I was wearing Adidas from head to toe.Only thing that wasn't was my socks, which were the face of Obama. My hair was in two space buns which I normally wouldn't do unless I had bangs to cover my forehead or braids so it looks more full. My make up was done by this lovely girl who was smart and brought darker shades of make up for my face so I was looking good.

It was kind of sad thought she showed me the darkest shade they were giving at school for there kits and I was dying because you think in 2016 they would give some darker shades so people can learn to do darker skin tones as well but I get it the chances of having to do a darker skin tone is rare in Vancouver but trust me if you are a make up artist and want to go beyond Vancouver learn to work with all skin tones.

Now we get outside i'm feeling "swaggy". Pose 1 Pose 2 werk werk WERK! All I really remember is thinking about Tyra Banks saying "Smile with your eyes". After 70 shots it was done and it was on to another shoot so I had a little break to get my model ready for her shoot. I chose to do an Ad for The Basement and I wanted it to be very "Hypebeast street wear vibe" so i pick some items out and boom. Natural make up no accessories. My girl was ready we took many shots and I cant wait to finish the final project, which is an add for The Basement (@thebasement_byloyalcoalition)

I'm excited to get started on the next one which will be my Editorial Shoot. I didn't really think I'd have fun styling but it was a cool experience id rather be in front of the camera. That is where I belong.  Check back soon for the final look from both photo shoots.
