Here on the west coast of Canada Fall has fully started to take effect but I'm not complaining, summer was good to me.
I (Lowkita) got my first grant in music and so you guys can finally expect some new original music from me. With all that I've also set some new goals for me as an artist but also with this brand Issa Rude Ting. I released the first shirt last month and some people gave me feedback but what I heard the most was it's too expensive or I want a different color. I TOTALLY GET IT! but I know how much work I put in and the meaning for me behind the shirt and where I want to see the brand going. As for color, we have a line of colors coming so hopefully you see one you like. As of right now, you can purchase it in black and white If you cop you cop if you don't you don't. IM JUST TRYNA BE MY OWN RIHANNA.
But I say all this because everyone starts somewhere and to build something great. People just need to support. Everything needs support to grow, that's life. Thank you to everyone who as either re posted slid in the DM with feedback, copped a shirt, told a friend double-tapped, etc. Blessings to you all. Now let's get into the artist I support.

Where do I start? Its been a while but life is worth living OFF THE INTERNET sometimes you need to just be in your own space. Collect some gems then share them with the world through cool new ideas. I want to thank everyone who's been checking the blog, following both Instagrams and just supporting me and my movement. I'm planning something special and can't wait to share with everyone but if you're in Vancouver make sure you keep MAY 23rd open.
Since it is the last day of Black History Month I thought it would be cool to end it with a Poem. Here is my reading of Life is Fine by Langston Huges. Issa Poem Ting
The female energy coming out of Jamaica right now is so refreshing. What makes it even greater is the fact they are so supportive of each other from Jada Kingdom to Tosh Alexander there is so much talent in Jamaica I'm just proud to say I got 50% percent of Jamaican blood running in my veins.
First I'd like to share my track. I haven't released any music for a while so i thought it would be cool to do a summertime track. You can even download it for free check it out here Let me know what you think? Big up S'bling for making a dope ass beat!
A couple post back I mentioned a woman who literally went from being unknown in 2 years to be on projects with artist like Sean Paul and Pop Sensation Christina Aguilera. Im talking about none other than the versatile artist SHENESEEA. I don't think I've seen this quick of a come up for any female artist not only in Dancehall but in music in general. Her latest feature I discovered was on the new SANTIGOLD album on 'I Don't Want: The Gold Fire Sessions.' Not only is she featured on the Alternative album but shes the only feature PERIOD!!!! I feel like I big her up in ever post I make but I'm telling you 2019 will be the year of the ShenYengs. Check out this tune with another Amazing Lady from JA , Samatha J alongside Azaryah. Produced by Jonny Blaze & Static. SHOW OFF.
The beautiful Lila Iké. This young 24-year-old has an amazing voice. Combining her love of reggae music and with influences like Alica Keys and Whitney Huston, she for sure will be a force to reckon with in the industry. Her Lastest single Second Chance is a totally relatable track about having a second chance with someone you love. Check it out below.
Hope you enjoyed some new music. Watch out for these amazing ladies who are about to take over !!! This is Just part one be sure to check back later this week for more great music by and from Jamaican & Caribbean female Artist.
